HybridCore®
We have developed HybridCore® knife driving shafts for next-generation primary cutting machines. The revolutionary CompMetal design of the knife driving shafts with a state-of-the-art design is characterized by the combination of a Cylite® CFRP core with a load-bearing shell made of stainless steel. A significantly reduced weight of up to 70%, as well as a reduced mass moment of inertia of up to 65%, enable significantly more efficient bearing, drive and brake concepts, which are decisive in ensuring that the latest generation of systems runs optimally and smoothly. In addition, it is possible for the first time to optimally and easily adapt measuring and transport rolls, as well as knife driving shafts, within a system due to the free design of the Cylite® CFRP core. This opens up nearly unlimited design possibilities for even more speed and performance for all types of film or foil without changing the look and feel for the user.
